Skateboard E-Gift — From Code to Joy

The Story

It started with a birthday and a question: "How can I make my friend happy and give a bit of 'wow'?" I had a skateboard e-gift card — a perfectly fine present. But forwarding a redemption code felt impersonal. I wanted the gift to carry something more than purchasing power.

What I Made

I extracted life lessons from skateboarding culture — persistence, reading the terrain, the joy of bailing and getting back up — and designed them into a set of custom inspirational cards. Each card carries a piece of skating wisdom reframed as life philosophy. I then designed branded packaging around the whole thing, engineering every layer of the unboxing for maximum surprise. The digital code was still inside, but now it was wrapped in a story worth telling.
